Job DescriptionJob Summary

The College of Arts & Sciences is in need of a Special ProgramAid that can assist the college, its departments, and faculty withresearch and development (writing) of grants and degreeproposals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the College of Arts & Sciences,and its departments and faculty, with research and development(writing) of grants and degree proposals.
  • Responsible for working in collaboration with the Office ofResearch and Sponsored Projects in researching grant opportunitiesfor external funding relating to, but not limited to, research,equipment/infrastructure, programmatic, scholarships, training andeducation, and degree program offering.
  • Additional duties include review of assessment reports andprogram reviews and, assisting faculty with manuscriptssubmissions.

Minimum Requirement

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accrediteduniversity.
  • Experience: No experience required.
  • May not be currently enrolled as an undergrad student at TexasA&M International University.

Preferred Requirement

  • Master's degree from an accredited university.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Ability to interact professionally with university faculty,staff, students, and the general public
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a group setting
