Plant Manager Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment.

This position is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, cost, customer satisfaction, and team performance. The Plant Manager will provide hands-on leadership to manufacturing leaders and team members while building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee engagement.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to group leaders, team leaders, and manufacturing team members.
  • Monitor production schedules, efficiency, downtime, and other key performance indicators to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Identify manufacturing issues and implement short- and long-term corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on eliminating waste, improving processes, and increasing operational efficiency.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality, safety, and environmental management systems.
  • Lead problem-solving activities when KPIs or operational goals are not achieved.
  • Support development and management of departmental budgets and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain standardized manufacturing processes, procedures, and work methods.
  • Partner with leadership and other departments on product improvement, cost reduction, and operational initiatives.
  • Build a positive work environment based on accountability, communication, teamwork, trust, and respect.

Qualifications Required

  • Proven manufacturing leadership experience within a high-volume production environment.
  • Strong experience leading and developing manufacturing teams.
  • Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, productivity, cost, and operational performance.
  • Experience managing production KPIs and leading corrective-action/problem-solving initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and operational efficiency.

Preferred

  • Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience with quality and environmental management systems.
  • Budgeting, cost reduction, and manufacturing performance management experience.
  • Experience developing frontline supervisors and manufacturing leaders.
