Position Title: SMART IT Coordinator

Schedule: Part‑Time (Hours: 10–15 hrs/week during development; 5–10 hrs/week post‑launch (immediate start‑August2026).)

Project Overview The Silver Mental Health & Support Resource Network (SMART) is launching a digital platform to connect NYU Silver students, alumni, and licensed professionals. Development is active and aligns with NYU enterprise architecture. Additional part‑time IT capacity is required to ensure continuity, institutional compliance, technical alignment, and vendor oversight. The IT Coordinator will serve as the technical liaison between SMART leadership, NYU IT stakeholders, and the external vendor, ensuring smooth platform development, deployment, and post‑launch operations. Works with Silver leadership and project team for SMART

Primary Responsibilities 1. Requirements & Technical Alignment

Validate and clarify technical and functional requirements

Ensure alignment with NYU architecture, identity, security, and data standard

Confirm appropriate role‑based access, security design, and data flows

Participate in design sessions and provide technical review

2. Vendor Management & Liaison Work

Serve as main technical Point of Contact for vendor

Respond to and resolve vendor technical questions

Ensure timely delivery of product milestones and issue resolution

3. Development & Testing

Support testing and QA cycles

Participate in technical sign‑off checkpoints

Identify integration and interoperability risks

Review data migration plans and validate data models

4. Operational Support Post‑Launch

Serve as escalation point for platform support

Manage change requests and update cycles

Monitor vendor SLA performance and review service metrics

Support future roadmap planning and enhancements

5. Knowledge Transfer & Documentation

Ensure vendor provides technical documentation

Coordinate knowledge hand‑off to business and IT stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience

Strong knowledge of NYU systems, governance, and security policies

Experience working with enterprise vendors and web/app platforms

Familiarity with CRM workflows, identity/authentication, and data security

This position is classified under the professional research staff category at NYU and does not qualify for visa sponsorship including STEM OPT extension. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of employment.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is $45–$65.
