Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Assembly & Paint Operator to support both our assembly and paint operations. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment, takes pride in producing quality work, and is willing to cross-train across multiple production functions. The Assembly & Paint Technician is responsible for assembling, preparing, painting, inspecting, and reworking parts according to work orders approved by Engineering and Production Control to meet customer requirements. This position provides support across both assembly and paint departments to ensure production schedules and quality standards are achieved. ScheduleFull-Time2nd Shift (3pm - 11PM)Overtime available as needed Essential ResponsibilitiesAssembly FunctionsRead and interpret work orders, blueprints, and customer specificationsAssemble parts according to engineering and production requirementsOperate drill presses, riveting machines, and other assembly equipmentUtilize hand tools and measuring devices, including calipers and gaugesPerform inspections to verify quality and accuracy of assembled productsMaintain assembly work areas in a clean, organized, and safe conditionPaint FunctionsClean, mask, prepare, paint, and rework parts of various sizesOperate paint booth equipment while adhering to safety and quality standardsInspect finished parts and complete required testing and documentation, including dry film thickness and tape testingMaintain paint shop cleanliness and organizationMonitor paint inventory, expiration dates, and supply levelsGeneral ResponsibilitiesCross-train and provide support to both assembly and paint departments as production needs requirePerform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenanceMonitor materials and supplies to ensure compliance with customer specifications and company standardsComplete and maintain production records and related documentationUtilize computer systems for data entry and recordkeepingFollow ISO requirements, quality procedures, safety regulations, and company policiesParticipate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills & AbilitiesStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.Strong math skills and ability to perform basic calculations and measurements.Proficiency using hand tools and measuring equipment.Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures.Ability to wear a respirator for paint booth operations.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete surfacesFrequent bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and liftingAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds independently; heavier items require team lifting or mechanical assistanceEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED required1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferredPrevious assembly and/or industrial painting experience preferredTechnical school certification is a plusAerospace, precision manufacturing, or production environment experience is a plusWhat You'll BringA positive attitude and willingness to learn multiple skills.A strong work ethic and reliability.Pride in producing quality products that meet customer expectations.Flexibility to support different production areas as business needs change.Apply today and become part of a team that values quality, teamwork, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.Our success is driven by a commitment to technical excellence, continuous improvement, and a customer-focused approach.
