Overview As a Support Practitioner in our Seaboard Care at Home service, you’ll play a vital role in supporting people to live well in their own homes and remain connected to their local community. It’s a rewarding role, where every day you help people maintain independence, wellbeing, and routines that matter to them.

About Us Carr Gomm is a leading social care and community development charity. Our Care at Home service in Seaboard supports people to live well in their own homes. We deliver person-centred support based on each person’s individual support plan. This often includes meal preparation, medication administration, and personal care, as well as other practical support to help people maintain independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

Support people with daily activities, including meals, medication, and personal care

Build strong, trusting relationships with people and their families

We are looking for candidates who are flexible to work a variety of shift patterns, supporting people when they need it, including days, evenings, and weekends

Example shift pattern: 7am – 3pm or 3pm – 9pm

Qualifications

Full training is provided and, as a permanent support practitioner, you will be supported to achieve an SVQ in Health and Social Care while you work

This role is open to both drivers and non-drivers; travel requirements vary depending on the location of the people you support

Must be eligible to work in the UK or able to apply for a visa granting permission to work in the UK (e.g., dependent visas, ancestry), with provision to share proof prior to any offer; policy currently not to offer sponsorship
