Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Doctorate degree in physical therapy

Physical Therapy experience (New grads are welcome)

Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

Job Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, the PT creates personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans and uses exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent.

Essential Work Functions

Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests, examinations and history.

Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and goals.

Implement treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.

Operate specialized equipment safely and ensure proper maintenance.

Assess progress, adjust treatment plans, and document evaluations in the medical record.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals.

Educate patients and caregivers on exercise, body mechanics, and injury prevention.

Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.

Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development.

Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth transitions.

Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.

Required Essential Skills

Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication.

English language proficiency (read, write, comprehend instructions).

PC skills.

Physical abilities: remain stationary, move, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, bend.

Interpersonal skills: work effectively with diverse personnel.

Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures and equipment.

Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines, work under supervision, maintain concentration.

Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
