Employment Type: Full-Time
Start Your Career in Paradise
The lake life is calling! Horseshoe Bay Resort is looking for motivated individuals to join our Landscaping and Grounds team. As a Groundskeeper, you are the guardian of our 17,000-acre resort’s natural beauty. This is an introductory-level role perfect for someone who loves working outdoors and wants to learn the art of professional landscape maintenance.
At Horseshoe Bay, we don’t just offer a job; we offer a career path. You will receive hands-on training and development while working on one of the most beautiful properties in Texas. If you take pride in seeing the results of a hard day’s work, your journey starts here.
Your Impact: Shaping the Resort Experience
You will perform essential manual labor and semi-skilled landscape tasks to ensure our gardens, lawns, and hardscape remain in pristine, luxury condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precision Maintenance: Safely operate walk-mowers, string trimmers, edgers, and hedge trimmers to keep curbs and walkways looking sharp.
- Beautification Projects: Participate in seasonal landscape projects, including planting trees and shrubs, mulching, overseeding, and greenhouse maintenance.
- Site Cleanliness: Utilize blowers for debris removal and ensure all trash and debris are cleared from resort grounds.
- Manual Artistry: Expertly shovel sand, gravel, or mulch, and perform hand-weeding to maintain high-detail areas.
- Equipment Stewardship: Maintain daily fuel and fluid levels for all gear. Clean and return tools to storage areas, and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and the mechanic staff to ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
What You Bring to the Team
- Technical Readiness: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools with a strong commitment to safety.
- Physical Stamina: Strength and agility to work outdoors in the Texas elements. You must be able to lift 50 lbs frequently.
- Detail-Oriented Mindset: A "keen eye" for detail and a drive to complete tasks to the highest standard.
- Reliability: High degree of common sense, basic math skills, and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Requirements: High school diploma/GED and a valid Driver’s License are preferred. Previous landscaping experience is a plus, but not required—we will train the right person!
