Job Summary: We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to provide mental health services within a correctional facility setting. The Psychologist will conduct psychological assessments, crisis interventions, treatment planning, and therapeutic services for the inmate population while maintaining compliance with correctional healthcare standards and California regulations. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 12 months of continuous experience within the last 3 years in a public or private institutional setting Experience must be similar in scope to the duties listed above Internship experience does not qualify Active and valid Psychologist License required BLS Certification from the American Heart Association required Must be proficient in English with effective communication skills in a correctional environment Key Responsibilities Conduct initial mental health evaluations including criminal, psychological, and substance abuse histories Perform Mental Status Examinations (MSE) and suicide risk assessments Provide crisis intervention, individual therapy, and group psychotherapy Conduct face-to-face and cell-front clinical interviews as required Develop diagnoses, treatment plans, and clinical recommendations Complete clinical documentation including progress notes and IDTT/IOTT participation Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings Provide reports for the Board of Prison Hearings when necessary Consult with supervisors, custody staff, and healthcare teams Assist inmates with mental health education, SSI resources, and discharge/community planning Maintain confidentiality, ethical standards, safety, and security protocols Ensure compliance with California laws, correctional policies, and mandated reporting requirements Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Salary: $301,600 - $332,800 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
