Coverage Area: El Centro, CA / surrounding areasSalary: $30 -$40 / hour + mileage reimbursement
Schedule: PRN / As Needed + on call support Offer Based on Years of Experience

Be the Best Spiritual Counselor I You Can BeIf you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you: Bachelor’s degree, required, from an accredited college, university or divinity schoolOrdained, credentialed, or commissioned according to the practices of a legitimate and recognized religious organization or faith traditionThree Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) unit, from ACPE, requiredCPE equivalencies granted per established guidelines of individual professional organizationsPrevious hospice experience, preferredMinimum one-year supervised experience in medical, educational or religious agency or institutionAbility to provide an inter-faith approach to spiritual care, demonstrating a high level of cultural and theological competence in working with divers fail and belief systemsExperience or education in grief or loss counselingQualifications for state-specific requirements above minimum education standards are as follows:CT: Minimum three-years’ experience providing pastoral or spiritual careResponsibilities: As a Spiritual Counselor I, you will:Support families and communities through the anticipatory grief and post-death bereavement processesComplete the spiritual needs comprehensive assessment of a patient and family-of-choice for all patients admitted to hospice servicesServe as liaison to the patient and family’s community of faithRespond to patient and family needsSupport patient and family’s clergy, or other spiritual caregiver, as relates to the terminal illness of the patientsBuild relationships of care and concerns partnering with persons in their spiritual journey, empowering them to draw from their identified areas of strength and supportOur Investment in YouCaring for others starts with caring for you.
