Description:
The Registered Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing oral hygiene services, preventive care, periodontal maintenance, and restorative support to patients of the health center.
Key Responsibilities
Provide dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and preventive services
Perform oral health assessments, charting, and diagnostic support
Assist with restorative procedures and chairside duties
Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and preventive care
Maintain infection control and aseptic techniques
Document patient information in electronic dental records
Follow HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
Support overall clinic workflow and patient experience
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
Current state license to practice Dental Hygiene
Proficient in chairside assisting and patient care
Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical records
Experience with aseptic techniques and patient assessment
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical environment
