Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSmall Engine Mechanic / Pickup & DeliveryWe are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our small engine repair shop. This position will primarily involve diagnosing, servicing, and repairing lawn mowers and outdoor power equipment, with part of the schedule dedicated to customer equipment pickup and delivery. Sliding scale based on billable hours per week.
ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, service, and repair lawn mowers and outdoor power equipmentPerform routine maintenance and preventative serviceTroubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical problemsReplace belts, blades, filters, spark plugs, and other common componentsAssist with customer equipment pickup and deliverySafely load, secure, and unload customer equipmentDrive company vehicle(s) and tow/back trailersMaintain a clean and organized work areaCommunicate professionally with customers when neededBasic RequirementsMust be at least 18 years oldValid driver's licenseGood driving recordReliable transportation to and from workSome previous hands-on experience with lawn mowers, small engines, outdoor power equipment, automotive, agricultural, or similar equipmentBasic mechanical aptitudeFamiliarity with common hand and power toolsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Dependable attendance and punctualityAbility to work independently and follow instructionsWillingness to learn and develop troubleshooting and repair skillsComfortable driving a pickup truck and towing/backing trailersExperiencePrevious experience with zero-turn mowers, lawn tractors, push mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, generators, small engines, automotive repair, or similar equipment is required.We're looking for someone who is dependable, mechanically minded, willing to learn, and takes pride in doing quality work for our customers.
