Responsibilities

Physically and mentally capable of tracking and wrangling existing sets, props, costumes, and actors, including load‑in, strike, load‑out, and transport.

Available to assist with casting calls.

Available to co‑supervise three performances and ten rehearsals with the Artistic Director of the production, including working with the prompt book for blocking, light, sound, set changes, actor entrances/exits, and safety issues.

Capable of driving a rental truck (highly preferred; regular driver’s license).

About ICDT!: ICDT! is a youth‑focused performing arts center dedicated to creating inclusive, high‑quality theatre experiences for young performers and the community. Position Overview ICDT! is seeking an organized, dependable, and positive Stage Manager to support our Jr. Program productions. This part‑time position plays a key role in ensuring rehearsals and performances run smoothly while helping young performers learn backstage responsibility, teamwork, and theatre etiquette.

The Stage Manager works closely with the Jr. Director/Music Director and production staff to coordinate rehearsals, manage communication, and oversee backstage operations during performances. Junior productions cast approximately 50 students aged 11‑14.

Key Responsibilities Rehearsal Support

Attend rehearsals and assist the Directing Team in maintaining a structured, productive environment.

Take detailed rehearsal notes, blocking notes, and attendance records.

Help track props, costumes, and set pieces in coordination with the production team.

Support classroom‑style management appropriate for elementary and middle school performers.

Assist with distributing production materials, schedules, and updates.

Production & Performance Management

Track and maintain script/run sheet with cues, blocking, and technical notes.

Coordinate backstage operations during technical rehearsals and performances.

Call cues or run sound during performances, if applicable.

Ensure performers are prepared, in place, and ready for entrances.

Help maintain a safe and organized backstage environment.

Communication & Organization

Serve as a communication liaison between the Director, production team, and families as needed.

Distribute rehearsal schedules and updates.

Track conflicts and maintain clear documentation.

Youth Support

Model professionalism, preparedness, and respectful communication at all times.

Teach and reinforce backstage etiquette, including quiet backstage behavior, prop responsibility, and respect for costumes and set pieces.

Support students in understanding rehearsal expectations, time management, and personal responsibility.

Assist young performers with transitions between activities to maintain focus and structure.

Assist performers with quick changes, prop tracking, and entrance readiness in a supportive, confidence‑building manner.

Help create a rehearsal and backstage environment where all students feel safe, valued, and heard.

Maintain awareness of student well‑being and communicate any concerns to the Director or program leadership.

Qualifications Required

Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Experience in theatre production (stage management or technical theatre preferred).

Ability to work with elementary and middle school‑aged students.

Calm, clear communicator with strong leadership presence.

Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced rehearsal and performance setting.

Preferred

Previous stage management experience in youth or educational theatre.

Familiarity with calling cues and managing tech rehearsals.

Basic knowledge of theatrical terminology and production processes.

Experience in classroom or youth program environments.

Schedule & Commitment The Jr. Stage Manager is needed at weekday rehearsals from 3:45‑5:45 pm. Attendance is required for all technical rehearsals and performances. This production will run tech/performances from May 25th through June 7th.

He/she brings steady leadership, clear communication, and a nurturing presence to rehearsals and performances. He/she is a proactive problem‑solver who can maintain structure while fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where students feel safe, confident, and prepared to succeed both onstage and backstage.

Compensation This is a part‑time position, approximately 10 hours per week, paying $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities Six Flags Fiesta Texas is looking for qualified Stage Managers to operate haunted attractions, scare zones, and show productions for the 2026 Fright Fest season . The ideal candidate would have previous supervisor experience, be organized, self-motivated, encouraging, and be able to effectively lead a group of diverse Performers and Scare Actors for our Fright Fest season.

This job is FUN, challenging, and interacts with both park guests as well as cast and crew members.

What You Will Do

Supervise and run a Show Production, Haunted House, or Scare Zone

Ensure performers are in full costume and make-up while in view of guest

Pre-check all areas for cleanliness

Monitor staffing levels

Manage breaks as needed

Ensure that all performers and Scare Actors are in their assigned location throughout shifts

Monitor and report any technical issues

Communicate notes from Entertainment Management to performers and/ or Scare Actors

Ensure the safety of Guests and Team Members within their haunt/ attractions

Manage Guest & Team Member concerns or issues

Manage queue line areas and throughput throughout haunts or scare zones.

Manage Gate Keepers and assist with guest issues as they arise.

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Have a strong understanding of the importance of guest service, teamwork, communication, and workplace safety

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Leadership skills and a team player with a positive attitude

Strong communicator with the ability to motivate a team and deliver quality results

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, including walking long distances, standing for long periods of time, lifting, etc.

Working conditions include indoor, outdoor, all-weather, all times of the day/ evening

Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

Must be able to work near strobe lighting, fog, and other special effects

General leadership/ Haunted House/ Scare Zone and/or Theatre experience is a plus.

Other Notes

This position begins training and rehearsals in mid-August and works through the beginning of November.

Must be able to attend evening Fright Fest rehearsals – week of September 7th, 2026. Must be available for training beginning mid-August. Any conflicts must be noted at the time of job application/audition/ interview.
