We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced audiologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic audiologic services for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in a collaborative academic medical center environment. The role will focus on the assessment, diagnosis, and management of hearing and balance disorders through evidence-based audiologic evaluation and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
Perform basic and advanced diagnostic audiologic evaluations across the lifespan
Conduct behavioral, physiologic, and electrophysiologic assessments as clinically indicated
Interpret and analyze test results to develop patient-centered treatment recommendations
Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss, communication needs, and management options
Collaborate closely with otolaryngologists and other healthcare professionals in the evaluation and management of hearing and balance disorders
Participate in student education and clinical training activities as appropriate

Works in collaboration with various teams (Trauma, Stroke, Cardiology) to obtain necessary imaging for advanced diagnoses to aid in treatment options.<br>2) Assists the radiologist in performing high-risk invasive diagnostic techniques such as needle biopsies, aspirations, CT-guided joing injections, and CT-guided needle-wire placement exams for surgery. Additionally, demonstrating competence by contributing input for alternative approaches and adjustment of scan parameters limiting radiation dosage.<br>3) Evaluates any contra-indications, such as medications, insufficient patient preparation or the patient’s inability, or unwillingness to tolerate the procedure, notifying care teams and coordinating appropriate care, prior to the patient’s arrival, if possible. Works with Radiologists and other providers to identify patient needs to complete exam or discuss alternative exam.<br>4) Performs CTA perfusion, Code IA/Stroke/Bat, Red Trauma Series, Yellow Trauma Series, ROSC, and Portable CT procedures, as defined by the procedure and/or physician. The Respiratory Therapist II administers competent care of patients through airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, respiratory care procedures and treatments designed to assess, prevent, stabilize or remedy patients respiratory dysfunction.<br>Responsibilities:<br>1. Administers standard Respiratory Care including but not limited to, aerosol medication delivery, basic bedside pulmonary function testing, breathing exercises, oxygen therapy, and arterial punctures. Provides for all aspects of airway management including aspiration of established airways, tracheostomy care, tracheostomy tube changes, endotracheal intubations and extubations. May perform Pulmonary Function Testing as needed.<br>3. May be required to be on-call days, nights, weekends and holidays.<br>4. May Perform all aspects of ventilator care to include but not limited to setting up the ventilator and verifying function using specialized ventilator modes to manage the patient's disease process.
