Responsibilities Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate preventive and therapeutic dental care under the supervision of a Navy Dental Officer. Perform periodontal therapy, including scaling and root planing. Take, process, and interpret dental radiographs. Apply fluoride, sealants, and other preventive and chemotherapeutic treatments. Provide critical oral health and nutrition education to patients. Document patient care, clinical readiness, and treatment outcomes with precision. Uphold the highest standards of infection control and support clinical quality assurance protocols.

What to Expect A team-based clinical practice with a steady patient flow, free from the production pressures of private practice. A mission-driven schedule focused on patient readiness, which may include early mornings, evenings, or operational deployment support. A dynamic mix of preventive services, advanced periodontal therapy, radiography, and patient education. Work Environment Serve in modern, well-equipped dental clinics and hospitals at Navy bases in the U.S. and overseas. Education Earn an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene and qualify for state licensure exams through the Navy's formal training program.
