<p>General Motors has needs for qualified Industrial Electrician Journeypersons. Working under minimal supervision, the skilled trades Electrician Journeyperson is responsible for layout, installation, repair and preventative maintenance of complicated electrical equipment and circuits, troubleshooting and technical expertise on control systems.</p>

<p><br><b>Primary Responsibilities:</b></p>

<ul><li><p>Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures</p></li><li><p>Responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment</p></li><li><p>Analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in equipment and related components, diagnosing and correcting the problems quickly to avoid production delays</p></li><li><p>Perform electrical preventative and corrective maintenance on all plant equipment</p></li><li><p>Promote teamwork and show a willingness to work with other departments</p></li><li><p>Participate in continuous improvement activities</p></li><li><p>Read and interpret drawings and wiring schematics</p></li><li><p>Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills</p></li></ul>

<p><b>Interested individuals must meet the following minimum qualifications:</b></p>

<ul><li><p>U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate in Electrical trade or six (6) years of documented experience as an Electrician</p></li><li><p>Must be able to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring process requirements which include <b>comprehensive assessments, hair drug testing, and a background check</b></p></li><li><p>At least 18 years of age</p></li><li><p>Eligible to work in the United States</p></li><li><p>Must be willing to work flexible shift hours and day, afternoon, or night shift as well as overtime hours daily, weekends and holidays on those shifts with little notice</p></li><li><p> This position may be filled with a Journeyperson or Journeyperson In Training, the compensation ranges for a JIT include ($37.77 - $44.06) or Journeyperson rate of $44.96. <p>Key Responsibilities:<br>• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment using industry standard and acceptable maintenance methods and procedures.<br>• Maintain vehicle maintenance records.<br>• Ensure safe and productive operation of all equipment by scheduling and completing preventive maintenance for all equipment within state, federal, local and corporate guidelines.<br>• Maintain safe and clean shop facility.<br>• Review all D.V.I.R. reports and perform repairs as needed.<br>• Provide accurate labor hours required for each product line.<br>• Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with vehicles and equipment.<br>• Maintain and repair heavy diesel, gas and electrically operated equipment and vehicles.<br>• Complete reports, work orders, order parts and perform other administrative duties as required daily.<br>• Assist in the review of mechanical write-ups on equipment and coordinate repair schedule.<br>• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all safety regulations.<br>• Utilize a variety of power and hand tools and equipment.<br>• Maintain a clean work area.<br>• Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state/provincial and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.<br>• Assume leadership and supervisory role of Supervisor/Manger in the absence of the Supervisor/Manger.<br>• Maintain a working knowledge of and keep up with the latest technology through the use of technical manuals and attendance of technical training seminars.<br>• Attend safety and branch meetings.<br>• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.<br><br>Requirements:<br>• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired.<br>• Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).<br>• Completion of DOT certification for air brake inspection and adjustment and annual vehicle inspections.<br>• Possess two (2) years practical experience in heavy truck repair.<br>• Complete all company provided/sponsored technical training and continuing education programs.<br>• Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards<br><br>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:<br>• Ability to communicate effectively with others.<br>• Demonstrate ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently and maintain accurate records.<br>• Ability to understand and effectively use repair and parts manuals written in English.<br>• Ability to operate any vehicle, equipment or tools necessary to perform job.<br>• Frequent physical effort including handling tools and equipment required.<br>• Frequently lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds.<br><br>Physical/Mental Demands:<br>• Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, taste, and smell.<br>• Continuous concentrated mental and visual attention required.<br>• Visual Requirements: include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.<br>• Frequent physical effort including handling tools and equipment required.<br>• Frequently lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds.<br><br>Working Conditions:<br>• Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity, hot and cold weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, vibration, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes and airborne particles.<br>• Occasionally work in high precarious places.<br>• Work environment is usually loud.</p>

Assists provider(s) with medication refills.
Administers medications/immunizations according to provider order.
Cleans and restocks exam rooms. Cleans equipment in accordance with policy. Orders stock supplies from supply department (specific to site maintains sterile technique and utilizes universal protocol.
