This position is available for a 1099 Independent contractor based on experience, licensure coverage, and organizational needs. Clinical services are delivered entirely via telehealth.Requirements: Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field. Active independent clinical licensure in at least one of the following jurisdictions: Washington, DC, Maryland (MD), or Virginia (VA). Willing to get licensed in additional states preferred. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience providing therapy to youth, adults, and individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges. Experience treating patients ages 13 and older. Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions. Excellent communication, relationship-building, documentation, and organizational skills. Experience providing telehealth services.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working with specialized populations or treatment areas such as trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, or grief and loss. Familiarity with Athena One EHR and electronic health record documentation standards.
Other RequirementsAssessment & Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with client goals.
Therapeutic Interventions:Provide evidence-based individual and family therapy using modalities such as CBT and DBT. Deliver care virtually.
Monitoring & Documentation:Track client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment outcomes.
Collaboration & Communication:Work collaboratively with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals. Communicate treatment plans, progress, and recommendations with clients, families, and stakeholders.
Crisis Intervention:Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in acute distress. Develop safety plans and strategies to prevent or mitigate crises.
Education & Support:Educate clients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Contract Commitment:Contracted commitment of approximately 10-15 hours per week. Flexible scheduling options available, including daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Expected to maintain a consistent patient volume commensurate with contracted hours and organizational access needs.
